Classroom Helpers

Class Helper’s Corner

strong>What are Class Helpers (aka Class Moms)?

Class Helpers are fundamental to the School of Ballet Arts. Responsibilities include:

  • Help with costume measurement and fittings.
  • Attend rehearsals to supervise the students and ready them for their dance numbers (this will also help prepare you for working backstage during the actual Performance/Performance).
  • Help keep parents informed of class news and be available to answer their questions.
  • Help backstage during the Performance/Performance making sure necessary costume changes occur, getting students backstage on time and providing activities/entertainment for the children between dance numbers.

Each class should have two assistant’s to share the responsibilities. We are having a shortage and need more volunteers. Without Class Assistant’s the quality and efficiency of the Performance suffers. We can’t explain with words how much we need your help! In return, Class Assistant’s are rewarded with complimentary photo CD of the Performance. Class Assistant’s also receive ample knee hugs and warm fuzzy feelings for their efforts. If this is something you can commit to, please contact Shauna Wilson.
